Announcing STUDIO x KAI

I’ve been having a digital identity crisis — something that happens every 10 years or so, as my online artifacts struggle to keep up with my personal & professional activities.

Very little of what I post online is related to my day job, and that’s by design.

My personal activities span from being an advisor to various NFT projects, mentor to digital artists, and a digital artist myself — working on a variety of collaborations with my favorite artists.

On that last point, I’ve tried to do some personal branding:

Announcing STUDIO x KAI the ‘label’ for my non-generative art and collaborations.

…and new collaboration with Altjames: Bisousbits!

James Atkins is a super talented painter, designer and digital artist I know from my life in London. Through his NFT alter-ego, Altjames he’s started a series called 100 Bisous which I’ve been collecting:

We’ve been discussing doing a collaboration for a while, and began riffing on a piece — passing it back and forth, him doing his thing and me doing mine. Finally we arrived at the result, the first in our collaboration:

Bisousbits 001

and then, as I’ve been doing with all my collaborations, a companion piece:

Excess Bisousbits 001

Competition time: All bidders get a 5x5" metal print!

Another one of my favorite artists, Pinot recently had a brilliant idea to gift a print to all bidders on his piece for auction, so we’re going to do the same.

All non-winning bidders on the Bisousbits 001 auction will receive a 5x5" aluminum metal print of Bisousbits 001 (provided their bid is 0.1 ETH or more higher than the previous bid) and all non-winning bidders on the Excess Bisousbits 001 auction will receive a 5x5" aluminum metal print of Excess Bisousbits 001.

The winners of each auction will receive a 20x20" aluminum metal print of their respective piece from the auction.
