I was happily surprised by how well my Art Blocks project 27-Bit Digital was received by the community. Once launched, all 1024 pieces sold out within 20 minutes.
I’ve continued experimenting with the retro style I love. I wanted to see if I could do gradients of the 4-color patterns.
Then I extended the elements of the 7-segment glyph and created a random walk of segments that find their way on and off of the canvas.
However, I wanted to do a project with a different modality to how people discover and choose generative art pieces. A project where the…
Recently the market has been exploding, NBA Top Shot has been bringing a lot of attention to the space, as well as recent gains in the cryptocurrency market leading people looking for things to spend their crypto on.
I’ve just launched a new generative art project on Art Blocks, Pixel Glass — it’s an art piece and collectible in its own right, but I also wanted to continue to let people who missed out on the previous giveaway of glass prints for 27-Bit Digital to have an opportunity to get some.
Tokenization and linking the physical-to-digital has been an obsession of mine since 2015. Before NFTs, I was into NFCs (embedded chips) — working at MOO to launch physical products (printed electronics) linked to a digital platform.
My project, 27-Bit Digital, launches on Art Blocks, Friday, 19 Feb 2021 @ 9am PST / 5pm GMT
People who know me from the crypto-collectibles / NFT space may be familiar with the rabbit-hole I went down in 2017 when I deciphered the CryptoKitties Genome — so it’s only fitting that I crack the code of my own project, and explain how I’m using 27-bits of random data to create…
I was born into an analog world. Radio dials that had to be turned to tune in the station frequency. Black & White televisions that would distort to static noise when the antenna was in the wrong position.
Still I was enchanted by technology– which was electronics. You could take things apart and see how things work. Kind of.
If you’re excited about this space too, your next thought might be:
“How can I wrap my NFTs for my project?”
I’ve wanted to do some projects involving wrapped NFTs and have found that there’s no single templated approach to creating wrapped NFT tokens, so for the Untitled Hackathon, I’ve proposed PaRappa the Wrapper, which can be a wrapped NFT smart contract factory with tools to launch other projects.
So what problem…
Since the Badge 001: Lass in Space was released, we’ve recruited 12 S-Rank Bounty Hunters, showing their support of the Bounty Hunter Tool– and in return getting access to the S-Rank Discord role where they have been testing out the beta releases and suggesting new features.
Also, membership has its benefits, as we held a prize giveaway of an original Lass in Space Avastar, won by Paul#6475.
Series 2 of Avastars has ended with Avastar #10199, leading in to Series 3– which means many new traits can be found, but also some of the traits, available only in series 1 & 2 are finished for Primes, and won’t be seen again until you can use Primes to breed Replicants.
Let’s look at some statistics for the first 10,000 Primes (excluding Founders and Exclusives #0-#200)
I’ve written a primer on Unique-By scoring — it’s worth understanding how these work and how they change over time, because strategically finding an Avastar with a unique combo of 2 traits (UB2)…
If you’ve enjoyed using the Avastars Bounty Hunter, please consider showing your support for its continued development via these commemorative Bounty Hunter Badges — on auction starting 11 Oct 2020 and ending 18 Oct 2020.
I’ve been an advisor on Avastars since before it launched, and an avid collector ever since.
In my free time I’ve been playing around with data analysis to help devise the UB Ranking score, and I’ve put together a few fun little open web ‘toys’ along the way:
